Miguel Milá began his design career in the late 1950s at his brother's architecture studio during a time of economic crisis in Spain. With limited industrial development, he embraced traditional craftsmanship and co-founded Tramo, where he created iconic pieces like the TMC and TMM lamps. He later opened his own studio and co-founded ADI-FAD to promote Spanish design internationally.

Milá’s work, rooted in honesty and rigor, blends tradition with modern design, earning him recognition as a pioneering figure in Catalan design, with many of his creations remaining timeless classics.

Many of his products have overcome the circumstances under which they were made and are still selling nowadays, thanks to having been born at a time when rigor and honesty were high values.
