Tilos

One of my recurring design themes is revisiting classic typologies in furniture and updating them through contemporary dimensions and industrial processes. My work is continuous exploration of how these forms can evolve, balancing tradition with innovation to meet the needs of contemporary living.
The Tilos Collection includes armchairs, two-seater sofas, modular sofas, and dining chairs designed for outdoor living and dining spaces. The collection draws inspiration from the archetypal outdoor seating of the 1950s and 1960s, traditionally crafted in bamboo and rattan. However, it reinterprets these forms through today’s advanced technologies and industrial manufacturing processes.

Im Kern der Kollektion steht eine markante Schale aus Metall und geflochtenem Acrylseil, die so gestaltet ist, dass sie weiche Polster aufnimmt und zugleich Komfort und Langlebigkeit bietet. Diese Schale wird von einem tragenden Rahmen gestützt, der wahlweise in Holz oder Metall erhältlich ist und eine elegante sowie vielseitige Grundlage bildet. With Tilos, the goal was to merge tradition and innovation, balancing artisanal references with the precision of contemporary industrial craftsmanship—creating pieces that feel both timeless and perfectly suited for today’s outdoor environments.
